About this rental
Formerly known as The Loydon Inn and the Innisfree, An English Garden Bed and Breakfast was built in 1922 and lovingly renovated in 1999. It’s one of the oldest bed and breakfasts in Dennis Port. The grey shingled cottage is surrounded by blooming English roses, hydrangea bushes and delphiniums that cascade over the white picket fence. Although every season is beautiful, the spring and early summer are when you will be able to enjoy the luscious garden in full bloom.
The inn has been family owned and operated, allowing for a more small-feel and personable vibe.
The inn has 9 cozy basic guest rooms (1 queen or king bed) in the main inn and 2 one-bedroom suites, located in the detached, quaint carriage house. Free WIFI, TV with cable, private bathrooms, outdoor seating areas, private balconies/decks, partial ocean views, AC/heat, and the garden-themed airy breakfast room are perks of staying with us. Breakfast is included May-October.
This makes the perfect romantic getaway with your significant other or enjoy the peace and quiet with a lovely book overlooking the garden. Located one block from the beach, partial ocean views can be seen by most rooms. Keep the windows open while asleep at night for a touch of an ocean breeze and a breath of fresh salty air. Children under 8 years old are not permitted to stay in the inn, but may stay in the detached suites.
Looking for a small event or wedding? An English Garden still has some availability this season. We actually own two other inns down the road for a total of 46 accommodations and can host the actual event or ceremony on-site. In the past, we've done many rehearsal dinners, private dinners or clambakes, beach ceremonies, welcome bonfires on the beach, brunches, and more.

Unique Benefits
We pride ourselves on being quieter than many other nearby resorts, perfect for a peaceful or romantic escape by the beach. We are just 2 minute down the road walking distance from the public beach. Beach chairs and towels are provided on a first-come basis.
Also known as a historical, charming bed & breakfast, many people who prefer these cozy types of New England accommodations seek us out to stay. Reviews share that we serve a delicious, hearty breakfast, Chef's Selection each day. We are not like your average resort or chain, which sets us apart from many of the other places in the area.
Why Kids Love It
Unfortunately, children under 8 are not permitted to stay in the main inn but can stay in the detached carriage homes. This is to maintain a quiet and peaceful atmosphere at the hotel. With the exception of the spacious suites, the bed & breakfast rooms are cozy and not really large enough for families anyways.
