About this rental
Our charming 3-bedroom cottage is perched atop a dramatic bluff on a waterfront acre of land, offering a spectacular, unobstructed view of Cape Cod Bay and the entire “arm” of the Cape, from Provincetown to Plymouth. Beach stairs take you down to your own private beach. At high and low tide, the water is lovely for swimming. Early in the season, you can “whale watch” right from your deck; in August, we I spotted 3 whales playing in the bay about a quarter of a mile out from shore. Enjoy glorious sunsets over the bay and the lights of Provincetown on the horizon at dusk. You an even watch the sunset from the outdoor shower on the deck!
This historic Sears ''kit house'' has a living room/kitchen with fireplace, a den and a dining area in the enclosed porch that runs along the entire water side of the house, a bath, and a large deck that extends to the edge of the bluff. Two bedrooms have a queen-size bed and the third has a double bed. Sheets and towels are provided along. A small fisherman's cottage, further back from the water, may also be available for rent during the summer season.
IF IT'S NATURAL BEAUTY AND SERENITY YOU SEEK FOR YOUR VACATION, YOU HAVE ARRIVED!
NOTE: WE UNDERSTAND THAT MANY OF OUR GUESTS WILL NEED TO STAY IN CLOSE TOUCH WITH WORK DURING VACATION; TO MAKE THIS EASIER FOR OUR GUESTS, WE HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET PROVIDED BY COMCAST.
Some dogs are welcome -- please ask. We charge a fee for your canine family member to stay, which ranges from $100 to $400, for toy dogs up to medium size dogs, respectively. We cannot welcome puppies or large dogs.

About the owner: The serenity of Cape Cod Bay and the beauty of the bluff and dunes drew me to Truro and the National Seashore Park many years ago. I am a landscape painter who came for a visit and never completely left.
Why this property? I still remember the first time I saw the view from the cottage deck and stairs -- it simply took my breath away. It still does. I love seeing the expression on the faces of new guests when I lead them out to the edge of the bluff for the first time.

Amazing views and gorgeous private beach
Our family had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage. The views from the deck take your breath away. Be prepared for amazing sunset views. Stairs to the beach are mere steps away with a shed near the bottom to store your beach items. You’ll hear the sound of the ocean every day. Jil is the most gracious accommodating host and we appreciate all she did to make our stay so enjoyable. Hope to be back to this perfect spot.

Lovely, cozy cottage
We loved staying in the two bedroom. The views of the ocean, adorable porch overlooking the water for coffee in the morning, rustic and charming. The beach is perfect for kids (bay side and shallow). Jil is a wonderful host

The perfect spot
We have been staying at the Sears Cottage in Truro for many years. We love it there. The house sits on the bluff above Cape Cod Bay with an amazing view of The Bay and the tip of the Cape. There is a private quiet beach and a deck over looking it. The cottage is sweet and we love how close it is to Ptown for easy nights out. We highly recommend it.
