Park your car in the sparkling white clam shell driveway at The Hibiscus House, bring in the groceries and you're done. Everything else you need is here.
While the folks back home swelter in the summer heat, you take a leisurely stroll to Colonial Acres Beach. You sip chilled lemonade and feel the cool sand between your toes while you relax in a beach chair.
Seagulls and sailboats delight in the gentle breezes as they zigzag the harbor. Your children splash and play in Lewis Bay, taking a break only when Dad asks them to help him catch minnows and fish in the channel. You feel all your cares float away as you enjoy some summer reading or just sit and relax.
Later, you return to the cottage and take an exhilarating outdoor shower. You satisfy your appetite, that has been peaked by the salt air, by enjoying a sumptuous backyard barbecue.
The Hibiscus Beach House is a short walking distance to several fine casual restaurants which offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. A bagel deli, an ice cream shop, miniature golf, convenience stores, a church and a library are also conveniently located. However, if wanderlust should overtake you, just hop in the car and explore-either way, enjoy your Cape Cod Experience!.
Unique Benefits
Revisit the Cape Cod of Your Memories.
The Neighborhood: Colonial Acres at Lewis Bay is a Gem in the Town of Yarmouth. We fell in love with this neighborhood over 30 years ago. To this day it remains one of the happiest places on Cape Cod. It features quaint architecture, with tree-lined sidewalks most of the way to the beach. We love it for the friendly atmosphere where residents smile, wave, and greet each other by name. The visitors, and great neighbors make this a special place.
There is limited free parking at the beach at the end of Standish Way where a short bridge to the beach, gives it an Island Vibe. The kids love to catch blue crabs from the deck. Once on the beach on the right there is a small marina with boat slips, a boat channel and rock jetty where all enjoy fishing.
Relax in one of our beach chairs. Watch Ferries coming and going to the islands, Kayakers, Windsurfers, Sailors, Power boats, Water Skiers, and paddle boards. Never boring, there is always someone or something to watch. The beach is 1000 feet long. Your spot is waiting for you.

About the owner: Rob and Jean currently live in the same neighborhood as our rental because we love it. This gives us the advantage of being available should the need arise.
We are both long time volunteers at Taylor-Bray Farm in Yarmouthport which is
a free farm (owned by the town of Yarmouth). Its an incredibly beautiful spot with free picnic tables and is dog friendly, open 365 days a year from Dawn to Dusk.
Come meet our Scottish Highland Cows-Chloe, Spaghetti and Bray, Our 2 Nu goats Billy George and George, Caraway our resident ram and 5 sheep, plus 2 great Donkeys (Sam and Nestor) Your kids will also love Our rooster and our chickens.
Why this property? We bought this property because it was a great starter house for a young couple in a great neighborhood with a local beach. We always tell people we bought our vacation home first! hat is how it all worked out.
The house also has great East/West breezes, Sun in the kitchen in the morning
and Sun in the afternoon in the living room, just the way we like it.

Relaxation at its best
We had the most relaxing vacation while staying at the warm and cozy Hibiscus Cottage. The location was fabulous. 7 min walk to the beautiful and not crowded beach. A 3 minute walk to get homemade bagels and sandwiches (Rob and Jean gave us a gift cert for bagels. So sweet! Nice area for walking. The cottage was packed with household items and 2 grills. Very convenient since I like to cook. The outdoor shower was great and beds super comfy! Very thoughtful owners! Rob picked veggies from the backyard and gave them to us! Yummy zucchini, yellow squash, peppers and zucchini. The weather was perfect! I’d stay again in a heartbeat! Great owners who really care about their guests experience and comfort. Thank you Rob for the very helpful and organized binders on where to go and what to do! Thank you!

Deb, Rudy, Julian and the doggies,Jean and I really enjoyed having you as guests, and would welcome your return anytime. Thank you for letting me hold your little Yorkie, both Evee and Cumulus are very cute. Thank you to Rudy, for the wonderful pictures of the Hibiscus-they usually peak during the week of your visit-but I rarely have the chance to photograph. I liked the composition of your pictures and will use some of them in our listings. I will be in touch again regarding accommodations
Cute Cottage
The 4 room cottage we rented was very cute, clean and costal decor. It sleeps 4 comfortably and the beach at the end of the road is great. Also, it is quite convenient to shopping and wonderful cape restaurants!
