About this rental
This expanded and newly updated cottage is filled with sunlight. It's a one-level home with a wonderful mix of classic-cottage and contemporary style. Situated in a family-friendly, quiet area of town, this is a cottage filled with love and CENTRAL AC, and a new EV charger!
The cottage is just 6/10 mile to South Middle Beach and 7/10 mile to Smuggler's Beach and Windmill Beach. You may enjoy the quiet 10-15 minute walk to the beach, or it’s just a quick 3 minute drive. The Skipper Chowder House is just one mile away, with incredible lobster rolls and chowder...and an ice cream stand.
The entry of the cottage maintains a vintage vibe. This is where you’ll find a bright dining area and a nap-nook with a comfortable, full-sized futon for relaxing. The dining table doubles as a place for a puzzle or an epic game of scrabble, since you’ll likely be enjoying many meals at the table in the backyard or at local restaurants.
The front of the cottage is also where you’ll find the bunk room and the bathroom. The bunk room has a twin over full-sized bunk bed, so you can choose the best sleeping arrangement for your needs. The room is decorated in pale grey and white with pops of color that are appealing to guests of all ages.
The kitchen serves as the hub of the cottage and is the connection between the vintage cottage and the new addition. It includes a dishwasher and washer/dryer, and it's fully stocked with dishes, flatware, pots, pans, toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot and more.
The addition to the cottage is where you’ll find the large living/family room and the primary bedroom. The living room boasts a very comfortable, large sectional sofa, sizable coffee table for puzzles and games, and a 55” Roku television with streaming capability and high-speed internet. This room is quite spacious and has a skylight and a ceiling fan! We also provide plenty of games for you to enjoy throughout your stay.
The primary bedroom provides a serene space with a comfortable queen-sized mattress and plenty of space to get ready for a day at the beach or an evening out.
The backyard is set up to barbecue with a propane gas Weber grill, new outdoor dining table, and a propane gas fire table for nighttime enjoyment. Don’t forget to relax and grab a nap on the comfy lounge chairs before enjoying a wonderful outdoor shower! The outdoor shower, with both hot and cold water, tends to be the most popular method of bathing when staying at the cottage. There’s nothing better after a day at the beach than the tradition of an outdoor shower to wash the sand away.
The use of Turkish cotton beach towels, beach chairs, and beach cart are provided for your convenience. If you’re up for exploring, it’s fun to purchase a weekly beach badge to experience all of the wonderful beaches that Yarmouth has to offer.
There are lots of activities and incredible restaurants nearby. We even provide a guide with some suggestions to get you started. The mid-Cape location is perfect for exploring the Cape.
*We have high speed internet, so work remotely if you must.
*There is no bathtub in the bathroom; however, the shower is quite nice. And then there's the outdoor shower!
*Please note that the ladder to the top bunkbed is a tight squeeze for most adults.
*Linens and bath towels are not provided, but Turkish beach towels are. Wait until you try them!
*Backpack beach chairs, beach cart, small cooler, and beach toys are provided.

About the owner: My husband Adam and I fell in love with The Big Little Cottage as soon as we saw it! We were vacationing in Dennis when we decided to check out a nearby open house. The rest is history. We absolutely love hosting and providing a comfortable place for our guests to call home while on vacation.
One of the things we love about Cape Cod is how much there is to do, and how many absolutely incredible dining experiences there are. We are happy to share our favorites and we look forward to hearing about your Cape Cod adventures so we can experience them too!
We enjoy home improvement and entertaining, and we've been working hard to make the cottage special for our guests. We put a lot of love into this cottage, and we hope you'll feel the love and make memories to last a lifetime!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is upstairs?
The attic is upstairs. It is not accessible to guests, it houses the AC etc. This is a question that is often asked because the stairs are visible in pics near the dining table.

Big Lttle Cottage was fantastic!
Jacki was great to deal with. Everything was spotless in the cottage, in good working order, and so comfortable in every way. We were a bit early for autumn foliage but the views and beaches are always breathtaking. Most of the local businesses and eateries were still open so we enjoyed being out. A very comfortable place to kick back and relax for a few days. Thank, Jacki.

Lovely location and stay. The kitchen well stocked with great dishes, glass ware, pots and pans not scuffed up or scratched. Liked having a washer and dryer! The place had a nice backyard for relaxing and eating plus a Weber grill! Would come back again! Wish it had one more bedroom…

We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay at The Big Little Cottage, and I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed the grill and the yard, it’s such a peaceful retreat. We hope you’ll stay with us again.
Charming cottage in quiet neighborhood.
This cottage, located in South Yarmouth was the perfect spot for exploring this part of the Cape. We found it close to two art museums, an easy drive to breweries and shopping areas on Route 28 and Route 6A. The cottage is well appointed has may touches that make it an easy place to settle into. It is a short drive to walkable ocean beaches.
