Area Information
Orleans is 22 square miles and 44% is water, so it is a very beautiful small beach town. Orleans has two freshwater ponds with beaches, a beach on Cape Cod Bay, and the famous Nauset Beach on the Atlantic Ocean.. Nauset is two miles away on back roads to avoid traffic. The house is surrounded on three sides by the saltwaters of Pleasant Bay. Two blocks south is our private cove landing where kayaks can be stored for easy use. Two blocks north to Meetinghouse Pond with boat launch and dock to take a plunge. Three blocks east to another beautiful landing to see the sunrise across Pochet Bay. Go west four blocks to a park bench to see the sunset across the river. Barley Neck road dead ends at another landing, so there’s only residential traffic on the nearby roads. Finally, walk a short mile to East Orleans village, which boasts an ice cream shop, two restaurants, a gourmet market and an antique inn with a bar/restywitb live music on the lawn.

About the owner: Our home has been in my family since it was built in 1972. We have spent summers here and lived here as retirees. We are so fortunate that my parents had the foresight choose Orleans right next to the National Seashore.

Great stay
Our family (3 adults, 2 kids) had a wonderful week in this lovely home! The location offers plenty of privacy and space in a quiet neighborhood. The house was airy and clean, and the kitchen had pans, serving platters, etc - everything we needed to cook. The owner was responsive and helpful.
