4-BR Cottage Steps to Private Beach

Zajac Cottage in Truro is the perfect vacation spot for a truly tranquil retreat. Our home is nestled in the woods of the Cranberry Hills Association neighborhood, home to a private beach on Cape Cod bay, but easily accessed off Rt. 6. While in the cottage, enjoy your time lounging in our bright second-floor living and dining room, on one of the outfoor sun decks, or relax in the screened porch.

Our home sleeps eight comfortably across four bedrooms on two levels, complemented by 1.5 baths inside and an outdoor shower. An oversized primary bedroom with king bed, TV lounging space, and large closet runs the length of the home. The second and third bedrooms complete the ground floor. Each are equipped with queen beds, roomy closets, and Cape Cod photography. The second bedroom in the front is a bit roomier, while the back bedroom has a desk and is a bit cozier. Finally, the full bathroom can be found here, with tub and shower, as well as washer and dryer. The fourth bedroom/den is found on the second floor alongside a renovated half-bath. It has a full sized bed and a chair for reading, working, or escaping for peace and quiet. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning units. Linens service is provided for guests, so you need not pack sheets, towels, or facecloths.

You'll find the main living space on the second floor is an open floor plan that brings in light and views of the trees. Enjoy an updated kitchen and all the supplies to prepare family meals, served at the dining table overlooking the sunny deck and geraniums. Continue your day in the comfortable living room equipped with comfy seating for reading, playing games or puzzles, or catching your favorite streaming shows. The house is equipped with wifi throughout for remote work, plus cable TV, many books to peruse, a couple puzzles, and a much beloved (stuffed) house mascot - Polly the Parrot for entertainment.

The second level transitions easily into three different outdoor spaces --- a screened porch with seating and twinkly lights for relaxing in the shade or for an evening nightcap; a back deck perfect for grilling, dining al fresco, or lounging; and an upper deck for meditating over tree-top views and soaking in the sun. The layout allows for a good mix of "together" and "alone" time across the two floors and three decks.
