The Rattlin House

Rattlin (Irish adj. meaning splendid)
This home truly is a splendid cape cod vacation. This house offers two floors… with three full bedrooms, and a fourth office/spare bedroom attached to the primary. One full bath on each floor of the home, and an outdoor shower. There is ample lounge seating inside with a living room as well as a den (with a pull out sofa). Washer and dryer within the unit and standard hotel bathroom amenities available (linens, coffee, bath and beach towels, soaps etc.) One pack-n-play, and two toddler Regalio “My Cot Deluxe” cots are available if needed.

Large outdoor space, that is fully fenced in (great for pets), including a fire pit, BBQ, garden lights, patio, and two outdoor dining areas. Corn hole, bocce and other outdoor games available.

Window AC units available for use, along with movable fans. Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

Why Kids Love It

From our toddler's point of view, his absolute favorite part of Rattlin House, is the proximity to the beach, and watching the wild turkeys cross the front yard.
The spacious backyard offers all of us all safe playtime that lasts for hours.

Area Information

Our family has enjoyed summers in this neighborhood for the past 30 years, we hope you find it as relaxing as we do. We spend most of our time on the beach. Seagull Beach is less than a half mile from the house.

West Yarmouth offers a plethora of activities and attractions to explore.
From scenic beaches and hiking trails to charming shops and restaurants, there's something for everyone.

Don't miss out on a visit to nearby attractions like the Cape Cod Inflatable Park, Whydah Pirate Museum, Pirate's Cove Miniature Golf, and the Cape Cod Maritime Museum.

For dining options, our favorites for fresh seafood are Captain Parker's Pub or The Skipper Restaurant & Chowder House.

Attractions Within Walking Distance

Seagull Beach is well within walking distance, though with little ones, you may want to bike/stroller there since short legs may get tired.

Best Bagel: Freshly baked bagels from Bagels & Beyond on Route 28.

Best Donuts: Kings Coffeehouse are good, but the secret is the freshly baked apple cider donuts at The Dog House in Dennisport, which tend to sell out within 60 mins of opening! (They may also sell them at One Stop in Dennisport too…same owner.)

Best Chowder: Capt. Parker’s on Route 28

Best Fish & Chip: Baxter’s Boathouse, in Hyannis, but worth the ride over.

Best Fish Fry (sit down): The Skipper Restaurant & Chowder House - We suggest the Fish taco (its unlike any you have had before!)

Best Quahog: The Skipper Restaurant & Chowder House (152 S Shore Dr)

Best Beach Sandwich: Mike’s Roast Beef (closed on Sundays)
